Art & Soul Summer Art Studio Classes!
All classes will happen in Art & Soul's garage studio. Come in clothes that can get trashed!
Please note, these classes are for kids only.
HOWEVER, if you as the parent want to participate alongside your child as an eager learner, you may also enroll in the class.
Be forewarned, however, that you will be treated as an attendee of the class, and not be allowed to 'give tips' to your child, it's important that your child is given freedom and expression to create without parental approval. The best artwork happens out of confidence, making mistakes, and pushing oneself, which can't happen if the lil artist is concerned about creating for someone else's happiness.

June 2 & 3 2 Day Art Workshop for Kids Ages 4-incoming 1st grade
9-11:30, snack included
Format for the class:
Kids will learn about the elements and principles of design, learn how to do a Daily Sketch in nature, learn how to make 3 clay pieces, learn collage, watercolor, and try the pottery wheel!
All supplies included, as well as a take home art kit that will have loads of extension activities, watercolor supplies, sketching pencils and sketchpad.
The class will be fast paced at this stage as attention span is smaller, lots of literature and art history in the lessons.
Clay works can be picked up on Friday June 10th @ 10:30, super fun to see all the clay works kids made!
1 adult and teen present, class sizes will be kept small

Elementary Kids Art Classes

Format for the class:
Warm up sketch ideas/prompts, implementing the elements and principles of design, learning collage on a canvas, watercolor, sketching as well as making 4 clay works and trying out the pottery wheel! All kids will go home with a workbook of ideas for stretching their abilities and building on what they learned.
$65 per student

Teen Art classes
Kids entering 6th-12th grade
June 6th, 7th, 8th, and 10th 12:30-2:00
6th-12th grade is an enormous age gap, however lessons will be tailored to each kid and what they want to focus on and learn for their lessons.
Each student will make 5 clay works and get wheel practice time and instruction.
Students will explore sketchbooks, collage, further their knowledge and application of design principles, and specify what they would desire to create.
$75,
